The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.
SASSA might be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it really is alarmed in regards to the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area regularly. The support place created for intervention activities a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and raise access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
